New
Brighton Photographic Club Inc
Welcome

Please
take a few moments to browse through the pages on this website, and remember,
visitors are welcome at club meetings, so come along and check us out
and hopefully you will be keen to join the New Brighton Photographic Club.
Club activities are based on weekly
meetings and the occasional field trip, all of which enable members to
have fun while learning and improving their photographic skills in a friendly
environment. Our meetings program includes a mixture of discussions, tutorials/workshops,
guest speakers and monthly competitions. Field trips range from short
photo walks at close-by locations to weekend trips to other areas in the
South Island.
Monthly
competitions are the back-bone activity of the club. Members are assigned
to a grade (A, B or C) according to skill level, and by accumulating points
awarded by independent judges are able to move up through the grades as
their skills improve. Members may submit a combination of slides, prints
and digital images into the monthly competitions. View

Our club is affiliated to the Photographic
society of New Zealand (PSNZ) which is the governing body for amateur
photography in New Zealand. Our club frequently competes in inter club
competitions organised by PSNZ and we have an excellent record of success
in national inter-club competitions organised by PSNZ.
